During my 2nd visit to Elakala Falls #1 I was greeted with a greater level of water flow then on my previous visit a couple years ago. Unfortunately my injured ankle gave out and when I tried to recover I slide on a wet rock and fell into the creek. Anyway I thought the rock with moss made for nice foreground subject matter. I had never seen anyone else use this composition. The moss is still really green for this time of year. This was captured with the aid of a polarizer and is a 10 second exposure. Note the color in the water from tannic acid from hemlock and red spruce needles. This adds a level of uniqueness to this waterfall and other waterfalls in the area, partially Black Water Falls.
